FeaturesClipivo for macOS

Everything it does.

A clipboard manager for the Mac that remembers everything you copy, finds it in a keystroke, and keeps it private. Here’s the whole list.

Capture7 features

It keeps everything.

  • Clipboard history

Every copy is saved the moment you make it, in the background. Clipivo’s own pastes are never captured twice, and copying something again moves it to the front.

  • Unlimited retention

No 50-, 500- or 1,000-item caps and no 30-day expiry. Unlimited by policy, constrained only by available local storage. Cleanup rules are optional.

  • Rich content

Plain text, RTF, HTML and web archives — every useful representation is kept, so formatting survives the round trip.

  • Images & screenshots

PNG, JPEG, HEIC, GIF, WebP and TIFF, with thumbnails generated on your Mac and the original size in every card.

  • Files & folders

One file, many files or whole folders — with icons, Quick Look, Reveal in Finder and a warning if the original has moved.

  • Code

Code is recognised and syntax-highlighted in 18 languages, so a snippet from last month still reads like code.

  • Colors

Hex, RGB, HSL and native colors become swatches. Right-click › Copy Color As… to switch formats.

Find4 features

It finds anything.

  • Search

Case-insensitive substring search across clipboard text, titles, OCR text, file names, URLs, tags and source apps. Several words must all match; quotes keep a phrase together.

  • Filters

Filter by type, app, Space, pin or date from the toolbar — or type filters straight into the search field.

  • On-device OCR

Text inside images is recognised in the background with Apple’s Vision framework and becomes searchable. Copy Text from Image in one click.

  • Quick Look

Press Space or ⌘Y to preview text, code, images with their recognised text, PDFs, files and colors.

    Space⌘Y

  • Search syntax

Type filters straight into the search field and combine them with words.

Organize3 features

It stays tidy.

  • Spaces

Group clips into Spaces — Work, Personal, Development or your own. A clip can live in several; deleting a Space keeps its clips in History.

    ⌘N

  • Pinning

Pin the clips you reach for every day. Pinned clips keep the order you give them and are never removed by cleanup.

    ⌘P

  • Titles & tags

Name any clip and tag it. Titles are never overwritten automatically, and both are searchable.

    ⌘R⌘T

Paste1 feature

It pastes where you are.

  • Paste modes

Click a clip — or press ↩ — and it pastes into the app you were typing in, then moves to the front of your history as the current clipboard. ⇧ pastes plain text, ⌥ just copies, and Settings can make copying the default.

Privacy2 features

It knows what not to keep.

  • App filtering

Add any app to the ignore list and its clipboard is never read. Copies from known password managers are skipped automatically.

  • Privacy controls

Likely secrets trigger a prompt by default. Private clips are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and an optional Touch ID lock hides your history.

Mac5 features

It feels like the Mac.

  • Menu bar

Search, Recent Clips, Spaces and Pause are one click away in the menu bar. A Dock icon is optional.

  • Shelf or list

A full-width card shelf docks to the bottom of the screen you’re working on — or the top, if you prefer. Want it smaller? Choose Floating list in Settings ▸ Appearance.

  • Storage management

See what your history uses, clear the thumbnail cache, compact the database or rebuild the search index.

  • Export & backups

Export and import .clipivo archives, and keep automatic local backups. Imports are checked and de-duplicated.

  • Appearance & accessibility

Light, Dark or System; compact or comfortable density; VoiceOver labels and Reduce Motion support.
